Amuse R1 Titanium Extra STTI Exhaust, Super Silent Version
Amuse R1 Titanium Extra STTI Exhaust, Super Silent Version

Amuse R1 Titanium Exhausts, Y-pipes, and Downpipes can get quite complicated.  If you are not familiar with Amuse, their quality, and their options - PLEASE read everything we have written below.  We have hand-written this entire explanation so you can better understand the quality of Amuse as well as all the available options with their exhaust systems.
If you have any questions about an Amuse product after reading this, please contact us for further explanation.

Amuse makes one of the absolute finest exhaust products in the world, period.  Amuse has specialized in Japan for many years in making the highest quality exhausts, with enough options for each application to make everyone happy.

This brand new Extra STTI version is Amuse's strongest Titanium exhaust ever made.  Super Tough Titanium, or STTI, is a new Titanium material exclusive only to Amuse.  It features increased strength, longevity, and durability characteristics over all other brands of Titanium exhausts.  Although we have always found all Titanium exhausts to be quite nice and touch, it does not surprise us to hear Amuse is on top of the game.
Options Magazine in Japan featured an article in 2008 that explained Amuse's new STTI manufacturing process and the materials used.  Although it was a complicated and very technical article beyond the understanding of most people, what was very clear is that Amuse leads our industry in the production of Titanium exhausts.

Because of Amuse's quality, options, and workmanship, we here at MVP rate their exhaust as one or our true favorites.  Kreissieg / KSG comes in first overall, as they have terrific quality as well, while offering an unheard of sound out of our GT-R's, as well as their keychain remote system for noise level control.  But Amuse is a quick 2nd place, and we know any customer ordering either the Amuse or KSG exhaust will be very pleased.

Amuse makes 2 versions of this exhaust in terms of the sound.  The one on this page is the "Super Silent Version" which, just likes its name implies, is rather quiet.  It is just one notch louder and sportier than your stock exhaust.
This Titanium exhaust weighs only 9.6kg (21.12lbs) compared to a stock weight of 17.45kg (38.46lbs)!

Amuse also offers 2 different tips for their exhaust, and 3 versions for the look on the body of their exhaust.
They have 2 Tails (Tips) to choose from, and 3 Muffler Bodies as follows:

Tail A: Has the blue "burned" Titanium look on both edges of each tip and a polished look in between.
Tail B: Has the entire tip featured with the blue "burned" Titanium look. Pictures of both are below.

After you choose Tail A or B, you then need to choose the muffler body, available in 3 versions:
Body A: Has the blue "burned" Titanium look on both edges of the muffler body.
Body B: Has the entire muffler body featured with the blue "burned" Titanium look.
Body C: None of the muffler body has the "burned" look.
After installation, the muffler body is not really seen except from the rear at a couple of very particular angles.

Now, in order to determine what combination of Amuse R1 Titanium Exhaust, Y-Pipe, and Downpipe you want, please read below.

Concerns:
There are 2 main concerns when choosing your Exhaust, Y-pipe (Front Pipe), and Downpipes (Turbo Outlet Pipes).
#1: Legality - Do you need catalysts (also called cats or catalytic converters)?  Cats keep your car road legal if that is a concern of yours.
#2: Sound - The more sound supression items placed in our exhaust system, the more quiet it is.  Too loud can be undesirable, depending on your goals and needs.  The more sound supression items, the heavier the parts are, and the less air (POWER) they make.
Both of these above concerns need to be weighed against everyone's goal with these modifications.  A separate but very-much-linked 3rd goal: POWER!

Power Rules:
Rule #1: Air Flow - The more air you move through your exhaust system, the more power you will make.  There are exceptions to this rule (like any rule), but for our explanation here, there are no exceptions.
Rule #2: Sound Supression - As mentioned above, sound suppression hurts air flow / power.  The "straighter" your exhaust system, the more efficient it is at moving air through, and the more power it makes.

Suggested combinations available, depending on above Concerns and Power Rules:
If you need to remain "road legal", forget any Amuse products labeled R1000.  R1000 = race version = no cats = not "road legal".

If you want to remain "road legal" and very quiet while making the most power possible, we recommend the Amuse R1 Super Silent Exhaust + Amuse Sport-Cat Super Silent Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Downpipes with 5" High-Flow Cats made by Random Technology in the USA.

If you want to remain "road legal" and have a sporty sound while making the most power possible, we recommend the Amuse R1 Sport Exhaust + Amuse Sport-Cat Straight Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Downpipes with 5" High-Flow Cats made by Random Technology in the USA.

If you have no concerns with being "road legal" and you want a very quiet exhaust while making the most power possible, we recommend the Amuse R1 Super Silent Exhaust + Amuse R1000 Super Silent Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Downpipes or Amuse Downpipes.

If you have no concerns with being "road legal" and you want a sporty sound while making the most power possible, we recommend the Amuse R1 Sport Exhaust + Amuse R1000 Super Silent Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Cat-Less Downpipes by Random Technology in the USA.

If you have no concerns with being "road legal" and you want a very sporty sound while making the most power possible, we recommend the Amuse R1 Sport Exhaust + Amuse R1000 Semi-Silent Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Cat-Less Downpipes by Random Technology in the USA.

If you have no concerns with being "road legal" and you want the most power, and the loudest sound, we recommend the Amuse R1 Sport Exhaust + Amuse R1000 Straight Y-Pipe + ARD Motorsports Cat-Less Downpipes by Random Technology in the USA.
This combination will make the MOST POWER, be the LOUDEST possible, and will save the most weight possible.

There are still other combinations beyond what we have recommended above.  There are a total of 2 exhaust types from Amuse, 6 Y-pipes (3 with cats, 3 without), and a set of downpipes (without cats).  That is 24 combinations of exhaust systems to choose from!  Not including ARD Motorsports Downpipes, or any other brand of exhaust, Y-pipe, or downpipe.
